Parawera Marae - New Wharekai

This project involved demolishing an old outdated wharekai and building a new wharekai to suit their growing needs.This involved a feasibility study, maintenance plan and masterplanning of the site for future works. Co-ordination of multiple funding bodies, including Waikato-Tainui and the DIA community matters funding group. The work evolved and we had to co-ordinate with Waikato-Tainui who were upgrading the Marae's landscaping. The Wharekai was to house 300 people and included kitchen facilities. This build was part of stage one for the marae and
