This agreement is between Ngā Aho Inc. (Ngā Aho), and the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects Inc. (NZILA). The agreement seeks to affirm a relationship between two important sector bodies in recognition of common interests. Both parties serve and inform Aotearoa/New Zealand design communities. The agreement provides a statement of recognition and intent, as well as providing relationship principles between the parties.

Statement of Recognition:
Ngā Aho recognises the NZILA as the pre-eminent organisation for promoting the profession of landscape architecture in Aotearoa/New Zealand and other objects as set out in the NZILA constitution.
The NZILA recognises Ngā Aho as the pre-eminent national organisation representing the collective interests of Māori design professionals, including the roopu of Māori landscape architects and associated professionals known collectively as Te Tau-a-Nuku.
The parties will work with each other in accord with the following principles:
