Karl Wixon, Director of WIKI, is a designer by training, project manager by certification, strategist, kaupapaholic by nature and muttonbirder by whakapapa.
Karl brings together an unusual but effective composition of skills and experience. He is a certified Project Management Professional PMP® with the Project Management Institute, a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand holding a Certificate in Company Direction, a professional member of the Designers Institute of New Zealand, a founding member and current secretary of the national Society of M?ori Design Professionals, and is a registered preferred provider of consultancy services to Te Puni Kokiri - the Ministry of Maori Development and Housing New Zealand Corporation.
Karl has worked for a large range of clients primarily in iwi/hap? & kaupapa M?ori organisations - as well as central and local government.
His work is strategically focused, innovative, conceptually elegant and professionally executed with a meticulous eye for detail. Karl is a high output operator.
Prior to establishing WIKI in 2000 Karl had ten years professional experience spanning product and exhibition development & design and tertiary education.
