Te Whanganui-a-tara Architecture
Ngāpuhi
Ko Ururangi te marae, ko Awarua te kainga, ko Māhia te tupuna, ko Ngāpuhi te iwi. Ko Beatrice Hooper tōku ingoa.
I am currently studying towards my Master of Architecture at Victoria University of Wellington. My thesis is looking at how traditional vernacular principles can be used as a means to further explore built identity in relation to place and landscape. My hope is that this research will provoke deeper levels of thought around both tangible and intangible connections with architecture, as well as further enhancing sense of place in the built environment.
