Kaupapa Whanau
Tamaki Makaurau Co-Design
I am a Pākehā design practitioner, born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau. I returned here in 2011 after time in Pōneke, Ōtepoti, Ōtautahi and Sydney.
My connection to design is as a creative and participatory process that can support whānau and community-led participation and action. I am committed to learning about, supporting and sharing co-design practice in Aotearoa.
I work as a coach and mentor for teams wanting to build their capability to take a collaborative and participatory approach to the design and implementation of new processes, policy, strategy, services and initiatives.
I have a Bachelor of Design from Unitec and a PhD in Participatory Design from the University of Technology Sydney.
