I hail from Ahipara in the Far North but currently reside in Kirikiriroa where I am working as a Land Surveyor and Resource Management Planner.

Surveyors have "historical baggage" when it comes to dealing with Maori land, and many Maori may have a negative perception of surveyors due to their historic role in land confiscations and unjust dealings in the past. Through my mahi, I want to change these perceptions. I want to assist in land and development related issues, and to encourage, educate and enable innovations to allow Maori to utilise and repatriate with the land.
