Tairawhiti / Takitimu Architecture
Ngāti Hine + Ngāti Porou + Ngāi Tūhoe + Ngāpuhi
My advice to those wanting to study architecture is that it would help to take art, human sciences, drama and possibly a language over and above the more technical subjects of maths and science. Architecture requires critical thinkers and creative minds and hands.
You can study architecture at Auckland or Victoria universities or Unitec. All are good schools of architecture. In a way, it doesn't really matter where it is you are studying but as long as you are studying!
There is support given to Māori and Pasifika students in all of these universities as you progress through.
