The purpose of this report is to develop better design outcomes for Tamaki Makaurau which “recognise the importance of Maori and Maori values in building a safe, inclusive and equitable region”. (IMSB)
These design outcomes align with the Board’s advocacy to promote distinctive Maori design identity and practice in Auckland and ensure sufficient resources are provided across CCO’s and departments that have responsibility directly or indirectly for the promotion of Maori identity.
